Soccer Recap: Starmount Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to five goals the game before, Starmount was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Statesville Greyhounds. The loss continues a trend for Starmount in their meetings with Statesville: they've now lost three in a row.

Starmount's goal came courtesy of Josue Maya, who's now up to five this season.

Starmount's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-2. As for Statesville, they now have a winning record of 3-2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Starmount will challenge Davie County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Statesville, they will face off against Atkins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Statesville will be up against Atkins' rather soft defense (which has allowed three goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
