Football Game Preview: Falkner Eagles vs. Okolona Chieftains + Official Tickets

Falkner is 0-5 against Okolona since September of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Eagles will challenge the Chieftains at 7:00 p.m. Falkner is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

Falkner is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They breezed past Thrasher to the tune of 42-6. That 36 point margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

Anthony Morgan had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 157 yards and two scores on only seven carries, while also picking up 44 receiving yards and one touchdown. He is becoming a predictor of Falkner's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 5-2 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Nolan Ashley, who threw for 101 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Meanwhile, Okolona's game on Friday was all tied up 6-6 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They snuck past West Tallahatchie with a 24-20 victory.

Falkner's record now sits at 6-4. As for Okolona, their record is now 5-6.

Falkner was dealt a bruising 55-27 defeat at the hands of Okolona when the teams last played back in September. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Eagles were down 41-13.
