Basketball Game Preview: New London Wildcats vs. Plymouth Big Red

The New London Wildcats will head out to face off against the Plymouth Big Red at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. New London is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 66-38, which was the final score in New London's tilt against Mapleton on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Plymouth hadn't done well against Lucas recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Plymouth came out on top against Lucas by a score of 54-43. The win was some much needed relief for the Big Red as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Plymouth's record now sits at 9-10. As for New London, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.

New London might still be hurting after the 73-53 loss they got from Plymouth in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can New London avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
