Volleyball Recap: Northport Mustangs vs. Willapa Valley Vikings
Northport had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Willapa Valley Vikings on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Northport never let Willapa Valley on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-20, 25-20.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northport to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kate Beardslee, who had eight kills, six digs, and three blocks. Beardslee is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 23 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalilah Colton, who had three digs and two aces.
Northport's win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Willapa Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.
Northport wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Oakesdale on the 12th. Willapa Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
