Baseball Recap: Jefferson Saints vs. Denver West Cowboys
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Aurora Central, Jefferson was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Denver West Cowboys as the Jefferson Saints made off with an 18-1 win. This was payback for the Saints, who suffered a 10-1 loss the last time these two teams met.
Demetrius Martinez made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Martinez was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances.
