The Covenant took a five-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Trinity Christian, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Gryphons on Friday. The Covenant's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five games.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Kylie Hargrove, who's now up to ten this season.

The Covenant pushed their record up to 13-1-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those six matchups. As for Trinity Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-1-2.

The Covenant wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 9-0 win against Virginia Episcopal School on the 7th. As for Trinity Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 7-0 victory against Seton on the 7th.
