Recap: Meade Mustangs vs. Old Mill Patriots
The Meade Mustangs lost against the Old Mill Patriots back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Meade and Old Mill were almost perfectly matched up, but Meade suffered an agonizing 28-27 defeat.
Defeat or not, Meade got some senior leadership from Zahire Mike who gained 142 total yards and two touchdowns and Tyrique Jones who picked up 91 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meade's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 5-4. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Old Mill, Glen Burnie, and Arundel. As for Old Mill, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Meade will head out on the road to face off against Glen Burnie at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Glen Burnie is ranked 47th, while Meade is ranked 56th). As for Old Mill, they will be playing at home against North County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
