It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Lee-Scott Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against the Dadeville Tigers by a score of 26-19. Those 26 points were actually the fewest the Warriors have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Lee-Scott Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brooks Zachry out in front who rushed for 131 yards on only 15 carries. Zachry is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 115 every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Griffin Gaston, who rushed for 23 yards and three touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lee-Scott Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 277 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 175 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Despite the loss, Dadeville still got an impressive performance from Davis McKelvey, who rushed for 108 yards and one TD on only 15 carries, and also threw for 140 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Lee-Scott Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Dadeville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Lee-Scott Academy has already played their next contest, a 42-7 defeat against Wadley on the 10th. As for Dadeville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 50-22 loss against Glenwood on the 10th.
