The Ponte Vedra Sharks will take on the Creekside Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Last Tuesday, Ponte Vedra made easy work of Bishop Kenny and carried off a 12-4 victory. Considering the Sharks have won three matches by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Nadia Campbell and Emma Shin did most of the damage at the plate: Campbell went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Shin scored four runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those four RBI gave Campbell a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Natasha Deutch, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Ponte Vedra kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Creekside waltzed into their game on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 12-11 W against the Golden Eagles. 12 seems to be a good number for the Knights as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Creekside let Maddie Hollis and Presley Brinkley run wild. Hollis scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Brinkley went 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Robbins, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Ponte Vedra's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Creekside, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
Thursday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Ponte Vedra hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .354. However, it's not like Creekside struggles in that department as they've averaged .363. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Ponte Vedra might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Creekside in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Will Ponte Vedra have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
