Baseball Recap: Jefferson County Comes Up Short

If Jefferson County was riding high fresh off their 21-4 takedown of Gadsden County on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the Munroe Bobcats by a score of 4-2 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-5 back in March.

Tre Scott was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run.

Jefferson County has also been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 16 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season. As for Munroe, their record now sits at 6-13.

Coming up, Jefferson County will take on Rickards at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Munroe, they will face off against Leon at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
