Baseball Game Preview: Eagle Point Eagles vs. Churchill Lancers

For the second straight game, Eagle Point will face off against Churchill. The Eagles will take on the Lancers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eagle Point has four straight wins, Churchill has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Eagle Point had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Churchill on Tuesday. The Eagles blew past the Lancers 12-2. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their two-run performance the contest before.

For Churchill's part, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Hartley, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Eagle Point's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Churchill, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.
