Softball Recap: Deshler Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Deshler barely beat Tournament Opponent the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Deshler Tigers never let Tournament Opponent get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Friday. Considering the Tigers have won five contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Makayla Willingham was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaili Congleton, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Deshler is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Deshler will challenge Muscle Shoals at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Tournament Opponent has already played their next game (against Snake River), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
