Football Recap: Malachi Hairston's Menacing Defense Leads Zephyrhills Christian Academy over Discovery

After only 13 points in their last contest, Zephyrhills Christian Academy made sure to put some points up on the board against Discovery on Friday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 36-14 margin over the Spartans. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won four in a row.

Zephyrhills Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Malachi Hairston, Josiah Lazardo, and Blake Alford picked up one apiece. Hairston's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 124 receiving yards. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Zephyrhills Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Discovery, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

As of now, neither Zephyrhills Christian Academy nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
