Football Recap: Messalonskee Find Success + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Messalonskee rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 35-28 win over the Skowhegan River Hawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 33-28 back in September.

Tatum Doucette produced another solid performance rushing for 164 yards and one touchdown while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 203 yards and four TDs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 103 rushing yards per game.

When it comes to explaining why Skowhegan lost, don't look at Ayden Mulcahy. Despite the final result, he rushed for 269 yards and three scores while picking up 10.8 yards per carry.

Messalonskee's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Skowhegan, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Messalonskee will challenge Cony on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Skowhegan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
