Volleyball Recap: Berwyn/Cicero Morton Comes Up Short

Berwyn/Cicero Morton and Whitney Young squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Berwyn/Cicero Morton had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dolphins. The Mustangs just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Whitney Young scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21.

Whitney Young can attribute much of their success to Jordyn McCoy, who had 12 assists and seven digs. That's the most digs McCoy has posted since back in September.

Berwyn/Cicero Morton's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Whitney Young, they pushed their record up to 26-6 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road.

Berwyn/Cicero Morton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Whitney Young, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Downers Grove North on the 30th.
