Baseball Recap: Kerman Lions vs. Immanuel Eagles
Kerman won the last time they faced Immanuel and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lions walked away with a 5-1 win over the Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.
Kerman got a great performance from Evan Esqueda as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off eight hits. Esqueda has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Adrian Torres was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Kerman's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is undefeated (and 3-11 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Lanfranco, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
