Softball Game Preview: Atlantic City Vikings vs. Williamstown Braves

Atlantic City is 0-5 against Williamstown since April of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Vikings will venture away from home to square off against the Braves at 4:00 p.m. Atlantic City has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Atlantic City is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of Millville.

Andreanna Micali made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Mia Marota was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Williamstown hadn't done well against Gloucester County Tech recently (they were 0-8-1 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Braves came out on top against Gloucester County Tech by a score of 8-3.

Williamstown pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Atlantic City, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Atlantic City came up short against Williamstown in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 10-6. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
