Softball Recap: Shamokin Area Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Shamokin Area, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They never let the Shikellamy Braves get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted since April 23, 2024.

KENDRA TAYLOR and AUTUMN KEHLER did most of the damage at the plate: TAYLOR went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while KEHLER went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those four RBI gave TAYLOR a new career-high. Another player making a difference was AVA HUGHES, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Shamokin Area lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
