Basketball Recap: Boyertown Comes Up Short

Boyertown lost against Perkiomen Valley back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Boyertown Bears fell to the Perkiomen Valley Vikings 53-48.

Despite the loss, Boyertown still got an impressive performance from Trey Kern, who went 7 of 10 en route to 24 points and six rebounds. That was a full 50% of Boyertown's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Cooper Rath, who put up seven points.

Boyertown's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Perkiomen Valley, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-3.

Boyertown will challenge Fleetwood at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Perkiomen Valley, they will venture away from home to face off against Spring-Ford at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
