Softball Game Preview: Monsignor McClancy Crusaders vs. Kennedy Catholic Gaels

The Monsignor McClancy Crusaders will face off against the Kennedy Catholic Gaels at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Monsignor McClancy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Archbishop Molloy on Monday. They fell 7-2 to the Stanners. The loss continues a trend for the Crusaders in their meetings with the Stanners: they've now lost three in a row.

Monsignor McClancy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaiya Sciacco, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Kennedy Catholic fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Stevenson last Sunday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots.

Aine Curley was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 4-for-5. Isabel Laguerre was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

Kennedy Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Monsignor McClancy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
