It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Nevada Union had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Oakmont Vikings. The Miners have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

Nevada Union not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Oakmont between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16, 25-19.

Nevada Union's offense was headlined by Ava Figuly and Malis Milone-Hang, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Ellyse Havlorson and her 15 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Nevada Union is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-17 record this season. As for Oakmont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-14.
