Football Recap: Marshalltown Comes Up Short

Marshalltown fell victim to Dowling Catholic and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Maroons 42-0. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Maroons are ranked first).

Marshalltown dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Dowling Catholic, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

As of now, neither Marshalltown nor the Maroons have any future games scheduled.
