Recap: Southside Seahawks vs. Ayden - Grifton Chargers
The Southside Seahawks had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 30-20 victory over Ayden - Grifton. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Southside also won the last time the pair played last Tuesday.
Kaliah Moore was the offensive standout of the match as she dropped a double-double on 15 points and 19 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Indiah Moore, who scored 8 points.
Southside's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Ayden - Grifton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southside won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Rosewood at 6:00 p.m. on November 29th. As for Ayden - Grifton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Lenoir at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
