Softball Recap: Ames Takes a Loss

Ames fell victim to Fort Dodge and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dodgers. The Little Cyclones just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Ames' loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 7-4. As for Fort Dodge, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Fort Dodge beat Ames by a score of 11-5 later that day.
