Baseball Recap: Subiaco Academy Triumphs

Subiaco Academy came out on top against County Line on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run third inning. The Trojans put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 17-5 win.

Sebastian Duarte was incredible, going 3-for-5 with six RBI, two triples, and two runs. Kannan Nehus was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Subiaco Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .634. The last time their OBP was this high was was before the start of last season.

Subiaco Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Coming up, Subiaco Academy will be playing at home against Acorn at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for County Line, they will venture away from home to face off against Westside at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.25 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of.
