Baseball Recap: Roswell Comes Up Short

Roswell lost against Centennial on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Roswell fell 8-5 to Centennial. The Coyotes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Davian Dominguez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Abey Tescano, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Roswell's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Centennial, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roswell will face off against Denver City at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Denver City's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Roswell's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Centennial, they will head out to face off against Alamogordo at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The match will give Centennial their first taste of in-conference action this season.
