Soccer Recap: Sonora Comes Up Short

Sonora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 4-2 to the Central Catholic Raiders. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly two goals.

Samuel Villafana and Joseph Pink scored both of Sonora's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Sonora's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Central Catholic, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sonora will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Orestimba at 5:45 p.m. on December 20th. As for Central Catholic, they will square off against Denair at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
