Soccer Recap: Carolina Day Comes Up Short

Carolina Day and Asheville Christian Academy combined for 18 shots on goal on Thursday, which explains the impressive seven total goals scored. The Wildcats lost 6-1 to the Lions. Having soared to a lofty nine goals in the game before, Carolina Day couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Ansley Blackford, who's now up to three this season.

Carolina Day dropped their record down to 4-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Asheville Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4-1.

Coincidentally, Carolina Day and Asheville Christian Academy will both be playing Rabun Gap-Nacoochee the next time they take the pitch. The Lions will head out to face the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wildcats will host them at 5:00 p.m. on the 25th.
