Football Recap: Caleb George Key Part of Team Effort in Mustangs Win + How To Watch

Heppner lost to St. Paul back in November of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Mustangs managed a 30-26 win over the Buckaroos. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Heppner's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caleb George, who rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught one score. Those 81 rushing yards gave George a new career-high. Another back making a difference was Alakae Rodriguez, who rushed for 138 yards while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.

Heppner's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heppner will host Lost River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Paul, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Santiam at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
