Volleyball Recap: Sandoval Takes a Loss

Sandoval was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Farina South Central Cougars. If the Blackhawks were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Cougars when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sandoval was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Farina South Central work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-8.

Farina South Central was led to victory by Sophie Wodtka and Addisyn Sigrist. Wodtka had 11 assists and three aces, while Sigrist had three digs and two aces. That's the most aces Sigrist has posted over her last eight matches.

Sandoval's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Farina South Central, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-12.

Sandoval wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Ramsey on the 8th. As for Farina South Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Neoga on the 9th.
