Basketball Recap: Warner Robins Starts Season with Win Against Houston County

Warner Robins had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They managed a 50-46 win over the Houston County Bears on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Demons also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josh Jackson, who shot 50% from the field en route to 19 points. Malik Gillespie was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Coming up, Warner Robins will challenge Jones County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Houston County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 67-48 victory against Harlem on the 15th.
