Football Recap: Ayntwain Crawford's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mullins over Kingstree

Mullins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 34-14 to the Kingstree Blazers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. If the Auctioneers were looking for revenge after losing 52-12 to the Blazers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Several Auctioneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ayntwain Crawford, who picked up 62 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Crawford got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 51 yards. Kanazzion Bethea handled things on the ground, rushing for 100 yards.

Mullins' defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Kingstree, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Mullins does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kingstree, they have already played their next matchup, a 21-14 loss against Atlantic Collegiate Academy on the 31st.
