Lincoln entered their tilt with Marysville on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 9-5 win over the Indians. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-2 back in March.

Ava Ornelas made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

In other batting news, Macey Thatcher was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Hope Schaper was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Lincoln was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .419 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Lincoln's record now sits at 11-9-1. As for Marysville, they dropped their record down to 6-16 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Lincoln has already played their next contest, a 19-0 defeat against West Park on the 20th. As for Marysville, they will challenge Center at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.11 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of.
