Basketball Recap: Red Bank Catholic Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

Red Bank Catholic had won ten straight home games dating back to last season and Addy Nyemchek did her part to make it 11 on Sunday. The Red Bank Catholic Caseys walked away with a 50-37 victory over the South Shore Vikings thanks in part to Nyemchek, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 14 boards. What's more, she also racked up three blocks, the most she's had since back in January.

Another player making a difference was Christina Liggio, who posted 11 points and four steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.

Red Bank Catholic's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for South Shore, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4.

When Red Bank Catholic and South Shore next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Red Bank Catholic will try to stop Olmsted Falls' four-game winning streak when the meet at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, South Shore will try to stop Princess Anne's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
