Softball Preview: Coleman Comets vs. Fulton Pirates
Coleman is 4-0 against Fulton since June of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Coleman Comets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fulton Pirates at 4:00 p.m. Coleman is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
Coleman was not the first on the board in Tuesday's second game, but they got there more often. They came out on top against Breckenridge by a score of 12-9. The win made it back-to-back victories for Coleman.
Nevaeh Chaffee was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Harley Lattimer, who went 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Meanwhile, Fulton was not able to break out of their rough patch in Wednesday's second game as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They suffered a rough 16-1 loss at the hands of Vestaburg.
The victory got Coleman back to even at 2-2. As for Fulton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Everything went Coleman's way against Fulton in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 as Coleman made off with a 14-4 win. Will Coleman repeat their success, or does Fulton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
