Basketball Recap: South Mountain Drops Season-High Score on Phoenix Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Mountain). They strolled past the Phoenix Christian Cougars with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 67-49. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Jaguars with their most commanding win of the season.

Eliah Dixon Jr. was nothing short of spectacular: he went 7-for-15 to rack up 21 points and three steals. Those 21 points gave him a new career-high. Sime Minter was another key player, putting up eight points and seven boards.

The win made it two in a row for South Mountain and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points over those games. As for Phoenix Christian, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, South Mountain will take on Dobson at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Phoenix Christian, they will look to defend their home court on December 5 against North Valley Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m.
