Basketball Recap: Covington Skates Past Abramson with Ease

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Covington's strategy against Abramson on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Lions blew the Commodores out of the water with a 58-26 final score. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Covington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was CATELYN YEAGER out in front who posted 13 points and six boards. LENIESHA BURRIS was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Covington's record now sits at 14-5. As for Abramson, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3.

Coming up, Covington will face off against Glen Oaks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Abramson, they will take on West St. John at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' defense has only allowed 24.5 points per game this season, so the Commodores' offense will have their work cut out for them.
