Soccer Game Preview: Depew vs. Tonawanda

The Depew Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Tonawanda Timberwolves at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Depew has given up an average of 4.5 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Depew is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Griffith Institute on Thursday. They came up short against the Griffins, falling 5-0. The loss continues a trend for Depew in their meetings with Griffith Institute: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Tonawanda didn't have quite enough to beat Alden on Thursday and fell 2-1.

Depew's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Tonawanda, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6-1.

Depew came out on top in a nail-biter against Tonawanda when the teams last played on September 11th, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
