Soccer Game Preview: Glenbard South vs. Lemont

Glenbard South is 0-3 against Lemont since October of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Raiders will head out on the road to square off against the Lemont HS at 6:30 p.m.

Glenbard South is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Streamwood on Wednesday. The Raiders fell just short of the Sabres by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South kept up with Lemont until halftime on Wednesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Lemont HS put the hurt on the Meteors with a sharp 4-1 win. Lemont might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by three goals or more this season.

Lemont's victory bumped their record up to 13-5-2. As for Glenbard South, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-5.

Glenbard South came up short against Lemont when the teams last played back in September of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
