Humphreys County has gone 8-2 against Amanda Elzy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cowboys are taking a road trip to face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Friday, Humphreys County was beaten by Greenville 44-16.

Meanwhile, Amanda Elzy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Winona and fell 39-8. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-0.

Humphreys County will have to contain Jar'Kavion Clemon as he made an impact in Amanda Elzy's last game. He rushed for 103 yards on only nine carries, and also threw for 108 yards and one TD. 91 of those passing yards were hauled in by Demarcus Brown, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Humphreys County now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Amanda Elzy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Humphreys County beat Amanda Elzy 46-38 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Panthers' Jevarion Glover, who rushed for 235 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 268 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 76.2% of his passes.
