The Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane made easy work of the Bacon County Raiders on Thursday and carried off a 7-2 victory. Fitzgerald might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by four goals or more this season.

They hit Bacon County with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Andy Godoy (3), Nathen Cox (3), and Carlos Rojo.

Fitzgerald has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four matchups. Bacon County is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Fitzgerald and Bacon County will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time Fitzgerald sees the pitch they'll take on Colquitt County at 7:30 p.m. on April 8. As for Bacon County, their break will end when they face Ware County at 7:00 p.m. on April 15.
