Football Game Preview: Clinton Red Tornadoes vs. Bridge Creek Bobcats

The Clinton Red Tornadoes will head out on the road to face off against the Bridge Creek Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Clinton needed a bit of extra time to put away Weatherford. They slipped by the Eagles 22-21.

Meanwhile, after only 12 points in their last game, Bridge Creek made sure to put some points up on the board against Douglass on Friday. The Bobcats blew past the Trojans 39-18. Considering the Bobcats' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Clinton better focus on containing Keaten Morrow and Lathan McKnight as the pair were huge in Bridge Creek's win. Morrow threw for 277 yards and five TDs on only 18 passes, while McKnight picked up 231 receiving yards and four touchdowns. McKnight really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 76 yards.

Clinton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Bridge Creek, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Everything came up roses for Clinton against Bridge Creek in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 49-8 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Bobcats' Wyatt Leonard, who rushed for 157 yards and one score while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Red Tornadoes still be able to contain Leonard? There's only one way to find out.
