Basketball Game Preview: Granite Falls Tigers vs. Northwest House

The Granite Falls Tigers will head out to challenge the Northwest House at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.

Granite Falls fought the good fight in their overtime game against Cedar Park Christian on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 55-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Northwest, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They had just enough and edged Bush out 62-59. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the House have posted since January 19, 2024.

Northwest's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Granite Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Granite Falls beat Northwest 63-56 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Granite Falls since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
