Basketball Game Preview: Leslie County Eagles vs. Tupelo Christian Prep Eagles

The Leslie County Eagles and the Tupelo Christian Prep Eagles will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Leslie County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.3 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Leslie County beat Oneida Baptist Institute 58-49.

Leslie County relied on the efforts of Jayden Hacker, who went 5 of 12 en route to 22 points and five rebounds, and Jesse Hoskins, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tripp Brashear, who posted eight points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Tupelo Christian Prep hadn't done well against Pine Grove recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Monday. Tupelo Christian Prep narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Pine Grove 49-47. While the Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Tupelo Christian Prep's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Leslie County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
