Volleyball Game Preview: Trinity Lutheran Cougars vs. Greensburg Pirates

The Trinity Lutheran Cougars will head out to face off against the Greensburg Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Trinity Lutheran sitting on three straight victories and Greensburg on 16.

It was a proper cat-fight when Trinity Lutheran duked it out with Jennings County on Saturday. The Cougars walked away with a 2-0 win over the Panthers.

While Trinity Lutheran might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Jennings County scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20.

Presley Meyer was the offensive standout of the match as she had 11 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since September 4th.

Meanwhile, Greensburg was able to grind out a solid victory over Oldenburg Academy on Saturday, taking the game 2-0.

Trinity Lutheran's record is now 13-8. As for Greensburg, their record now sits at 19-1.

Trinity Lutheran took their win against Greensburg in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
