Rock Hill hasn't had much luck against South Pointe recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bearcats are taking a road trip to take on the Stallions at 6:15 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Rock Hill took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They breezed past Chester to the tune of 61-20. The win continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Cyclones: they've now won five in a row.

Chloe Hudson had another great game (as she tends to do), putting up 14 points and three steals. Hudson is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Christian Dunbar also deserves some recognition as she posted her first blocks of the season.
Rock Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for South Pointe on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Fort Mill with a sharp 71-46 victory.
Rock Hill better focus on containing JaNyia Cunningham and Kaleigh Lucas as the pair were huge in South Pointe's win. Cunningham dropped a double-double with 35 points and 17 boards, while Lucas dropped a triple-double with 18 points, ten assists, and ten steals. Another player making a difference was Trayln Phillips, who posted seven points and five steals.
South Pointe now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Rock Hill, their record now sits at 3-1.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's contest: Rock Hill has made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having averaged 8.5 threes per game. It's a different story for South Pointe, though, as they've been averaging only 2 three-pointers. Given Rock Hill's sizable advantage in that area, the Stallions will need to find a way to close that gap.
Rock Hill couldn't quite get it done against South Pointe in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 as they fell 56-48. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Cunningham, who dropped a double-double with 31 points and 23 rebounds.
