Basketball Recap: Hammond Triumphs

The Hammond Tornadoes beat the Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Swamp Owls 47-39 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tornadoes.

Terran Perry had an outrageously good game as he posted 26 points and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Hammond's points. Another player making a difference was Quadrez Louis, who had six points and ten boards.

Hammond now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hammond will host Tara at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against East Jefferson at 6:00 p.m.
