Basketball Recap: Stanhope Elmore Takes a Loss

Stanhope Elmore extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 2-7. They were outmatched by the Prattville Lions and fell 72-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since November 26, 2024.

As for Prattville, their win bumped their record up to 3-4. The game marked their most dominant victory of the season so far.

Deshawn Hall produced another solid performance dropping a double-double with 20 points and ten boards. The matchup was his third in a row with at least 20 points. Nathaniel Warren was another key player, shooting 63% from the field to rack up 14 points and four steals.

Coming up, Stanhope Elmore will head out to take on Chilton County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 71.13 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Prattville, they will welcome Pelham at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
