Pocola is 7-2 against Talihina since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Pocola will head out on the road to face off against Talihina at 4:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Pocola hadn't beaten Cameron on the road since April 5, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Monday. Pocola skirted past Cameron 2-1. The two-run effort marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Talihina had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 10-9 W against the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Golden Tigers have posted since April 12, 2024.

Cy Ammons made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Talihina is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-3 otherwise. Ammons was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Colton Jefferson, who went 3-for-5 with five RBI and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Landon Gramlich also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Talihina kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory got Pocola back to even at 3-3. As for Talihina, their record now sits at 5-3.

Pocola might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from Talihina in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Pocola avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
