Volleyball Recap: Sand Rock Comes Up Short

Sand Rock lost against Glencoe back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 2-0 to the Yellowjackets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-11.

Glencoe's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Avery Barkley, who had nine assists and four aces. Another player making a difference was Kinlee Montgomery, who had 14 assists and four digs.

Sand Rock's record now sits at 11-15. As for Glencoe, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 24-13.

Coming up, Sand Rock will challenge Collinsville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Glencoe, they will take on Spring Garden at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
